Ballard Engagement | Laura + Scott

For Laura and Scott’s engagement session we “recreated” their first date which took place a little over one year ago.  First, shopping at the Sunday Farmer’s Market in Ballard and then for a walk around Ballard Locks.  The only part of the date we did not recreate was the big cut Scott got on his hand from a sign blowing down in the wind.  Laura knew we was a catch when he took it in stride! These two will be married in October, which happens to be my favorite month of the year!

It’s rewarding to see a second generation in the same spot on such a special day! After the ceremony, Laura and Scott exited the chapel to hundreds of flower petals being thrown about. The reception took place at the Lake Union Cafe. I love the interior of the Lake Union Cafe — gorgeous! Dinner, cake, toasts, and fun dancing all followed. Their wedding cake was decorated after the Ballard farmers market where they went on their first date and also where we took their engagement photos. [...]
