Seattle Paramount Theatre Wedding | Senai + Tee (1/2)

Senai and Tee’s spectacular Eritrean wedding spanned two full days with 700+ guests in attendance at the Paramount Theatre downtown. There was not a dull second that went by! Tee and her bridal party started getting ready for her long wedding day at four in the morning at the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel in Seattle. Tee’s perfect example of model bridesmaids had already hung her gorgeous wedding dress above the bed for pictures before I even arrived! All of the girls were moving around in a blur of dresses and excitement. I went down a floor to see what the guys were up to and found a much calmer scene with Senai and a couple groomsmen. After just a few minutes, Senai was ready to go! A limo arrived to take Tee’s to her family’s home because traditionally the bride must leave her parents home before departing for the church.

The ceremony took place at the Debre Genet Eritrean Orthodox Church in Seattle. It was a full two hours full of dancing, music, and cultural rituals. We then cruised on over to a park for family pictures and then to Pioneer Square for some fun wedding party photos. Next I dashed to the Paramount Theatre to get some shots of the breathtaking decor and tables which were brought together by Stephanie of Solomon Events. Guests had all arrived by the time Tee and Senai entered the reception escorted by a million guests holding flowers. The dancing to drums and a live band began right away and didn’t let up until two in the morning. Stay tuned for day 2 of Senai and Tee’s wedding!

So excited to see pictures – so beauitful. We SO enjoyed working with Senai and Tee – they had such a great sense of style, and we truly enjoyed creating their decor and flowers. We Soooo underestimated how long it would take use to create that paper flower backdrop – it took 300 giant, hand made paper blooms to create it! The pictures and the fact that Tee and Senai loved it made it all worthwhile. Thank you for capturing our art and their wonderful wedding weekend.
