The Canal Wedding | Lucy + Neal (1/2)

I started the day at Lucy’s house where she got ready. I loved her wedding gown! It was a pretty pinkish champagne color which looked amazing on Lucy. Her hairpiece, jewelry, and bouquet were gorgeous too. We met Neal at the Olympic Sculpture park for their first look. There was a soft fog all around which was perfect because it nicely isolated Lucy and Neal from the background so their sweet expressions stood out. We had spent part of their engagement session at the same place so hit some new places this time around. The fog miraculously lifted as we strolled around and we got to take advantage of all the sun had to offer!

Next it was off to Emmett Watson’s Oyster Bar to meet some of Lucy and Neal’s friends for drinks and, of course, oysters! Lucy badly wanted a photo of her slurping an oyster while in her wedding gown. Lucy and Neal did not have an “official” wedding party but rather a group of friends from out of town that they wanted photos with. So, next we moved to Occidental Park for photos and then a fun Graffiti wall off the freeway. The gals carried cute parasols from Bella Umbrella and the guys wore boutonnieres that Lucy made from plants in her garden and pinned with specially selected pins. We finally landed at the seventh and final destination,  The Canal, after taking family photos and pretty bridal portraits at Ballard Locks.

All and all it was a beautiful, sunny day for photos with a really fun group of friends. Photos of the ceremony and reception will come soon…
