Glen Acres Wedding | Laura + Jeff

Laura and Jeff’s wedding started at Glen Acres Golf and Country Club with a beautiful sunny day, blue skies, and pink cherry blossoms. Laura’s white dress and white details looked beautiful photographed on the white wall and window. Her mom helped her get ready which made for some beautiful moments. Jeff waited for Laura at the bottom of the grand stair case to see her for the first time. It was an extra special moment because it was also when he told her where they were going to go for their honeymoon — he planned the entire thing without her knowing! We then went outside and rode around the gold course in carts getting photos of the two of them and their wedding party and family.

The ceremony took place at their Church only a mile or so away and they signed their marriage certificate on the alter afterwards. Then it was back to Glen Acres for the reception which was packed with all of their friends and family. They enjoyed many surpise musical numbers, toasts, and gifts. The first dance looked amazing under the night sky. Towards the end of the evening, they taugh square dancing to the entire group!

Seattle Aquarium Wedding

I enjoyed meeting these two at the Seattle Wedding Show, so I was very excited when they contacted me a couple of weeks later about photographing their wedding. They executed a gorgeous wedding in just a few months at the Seattle Aquarium in downtown. I can’t think of a more unique and beautiful place to hold a wedding! We started their photos before the ceremony and walked around inside and outside the Aquarium. There ceremony and reception too place right in front of the big tank full of bright colored fish. The guests moved into the wade pools for the cocktails where they got to touch starfish, observe a large red octopus, and witness the feeding of the otters and their pup. The big tank was the brightest light source during the dinner. Everything was so colorful and vibrant. The toasts were wonderful and everyone was on the dance floor. It was so much fun to capture, thank you guys!

Alki Beach Engagement | Laura + Jeff

Laura and Jeff are both very active so Alki beach was a natural choice for their engagement pictures because they have many great memories there. I met them on the main beach area and we walked around getting photos. Then we drove around the point to get a view of the skyline while they rollerbladed by. It was tons of fun and we lucked out with great weather, even if it was a tad chilly! Their wedding is right around the corner in April and I am looking forward to it!

Discovery Park / Pike’s Place Market Engagement | Lauren + Kyle

Lauren and Kyle chose to have their engagement session take place in the beautiful south part of Discover Park. Along for the ride were their little pooches, Addie and Willie, who joined us on the trails sporting their adorable little outfits. After that we hit Pikes Place Market and were beat to it by a flash mob, but once the crowd wearing red dispersed we were able to get some great market pictures. I am looking forward to their July wedding at Shilshole Bay Beach Club!

Palace Ballroom Wedding | Christy + Rich (2/2)

Christy and Rich held their ceremony at the First United Methodist Church of Seattle. Toni, my second photographer, was positioned in the balcony while I moved around in the back of the sanctuary. After their short and sweet ceremony, is was off to the Palace Ballroom via a Rolls Royce. Love love love the Palace Ballroom! The exposed brick is rustic yet it is a very elegant space. And how can you go wrong with Tom Douglas catering? Bon appetit! The toasts were some of the most hilarious I ever witnessed. After cutting the cake, Christy and Rich had a very romantic first dance followed by their guests hitting dance floor with lots of crazy moves for hours.

2011 Best of Weddings

Palace Ballroom Wedding | Christy + Rich (1/2)

Christy and Rich both got ready at the Marriot Residence Inn on Lake Union. Toni, my second photographer, met us at the hotel to catch one of the two limos that would take us around the city for photos. We hit the Olympic Sculpture Park for their “first look” and then rode up to Kerry Park and then nearby Parsons Gardens.
